Africa

A region with much potential to benefit from space applications, Africa is a hotbed for many SGAC activities. Space education and outreach are the focus in the region and exemplify the strengths of the SGAC network when applied. One of SGAC's most successful projects, Under African Skies, which brought telescopes and space education to children in remote villages, was African-inspired, based, and executed. With a growing network on the continent, SGAC hopes to help develop space interest and space sector growth in the region.
