North, Central America & the Caribbean

The North, Central America and the Caribbean region region often has exciting on-going projects and endeavors to express the opinions of the next generation of space leaders in the space sector.  Web 2.0 tools, such as Facebook, have been implemented recently to improve regional participation.  The regional members work not only to develop their own skills and network, but through educational events, they look to motivate even younger generations.

Current/Recent Activities in Region

• Educational projects including, “InspireSpace”
• American SGAC member presents to the International Lunar Exploration Working Group
• Eclipse viewings
• Collaborative events with the Children’s Museum of Guatemala
• Writing letters to the Mexican Senate in support of the creation of the Mexican Space Agency
