South America

The South American region prides itself on a strong network that looks to grow and develop space awareness.  The region has done well both in organising events and in reaching out to local governments and space industry players to express the perspectives of university students and young professionals.  SGAC looks forward to participating in the region’s space sector growth.

Current/Recent Activities in Region

• South American RC represents SGAC at the Workshop on the Applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems in Colombia
• Organisation of a water rocket contest at the Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela
• Participation in the Second Sciences and Technologies Aerospace International Congress held in Colombia
• Creation of the podcast, “Los jóvenes y una inolvidable vivencia en Glasgow", which was broadcasted on the web by the Mexican Radio program "RadioKosmos"
