Space for Humanity

Did you ever heard the question "Why is so much money wasted in space while it could be better spend to help humans here on Earth"?

Space activity has many beneficial effect on our everyday life. Its applications are used daily by many millions of people, most of whom do not even realize, where it comes from. Besides the technological spin-offs, space activity improves our quality of life as well ( i.e. weather forecast, resource management, disaster management, etc.)

At the same time the general public and even some decision makers around the globe feel that too much money is spent in space while it could be better used here on Earth. This working group was set up to address this gap and to help outreach efforts already being undertaken by different entities. We are also aiming to show how the benefits of space activity increase the quality of our life - focusing especially on underdeveloped regions.
