Objectives
The Workshop is aimed at highlighting the potentials of the evolving satellite technologies and their applications in the fields of communication and remote sensing. In the area of communications, it will cover topics relating to trends and techniques being used in broadcasting through satellites, target detection, military applications and the role of satellites in mobile and multimedia applications as well as secure communications etc. The component of the workshop relating to remote sensing will highlight satellite based methodologies in crop monitoring and yield estimation, landuse/landcover mapping, monitoring and mapping forests resources.

A limited number of sponsorships are available for covering registration fee, boarding, lodging and airfare for a few participants (foreign/local) from the academia and government organization based on recommendation of nominating organization.
