Space Gen on tour with Moby and David Bowie

The Space Gen team had tables at Area 2 shows around the country!! DC, NY, NJ, Boston, Chicago, Denver, LA, SF and more. It was phenomenal! We got to meet GREAT people at the shows and see the most amazing sets. I still have Moby songs and interstitials swimming in my head.

Moby on stage

We were signing petitions and telling people about our projects and plans and everyone had great energy and feedback. Many said, "Why do you guys do this???" We said, because we believe space can make a difference in the world.

Moby talking to the young employees at NASA JSC

Before Area 2, we invited Moby down to NASA. Here are some pictures from Moby's July 17, 2002 tour of NASA Johnson Space Center and histalk to some 400 young JSC employees! (It was a delightful afternoon).

What a hit! Moby charmed the audience with his talk of hard work and his observation that you can take anything for granted if you do it every day. Even your dream job, whether you are a rock star or a rocket scientist. He also added that what NASA needs now is to find a new set of space heroes... Anyone interested?

At the end of the day we had a newly bolstered workforce and a fleet of little Moby spacemen drawings running around the center...

Who says one man can't make a difference? Especially one willing to just be real, honest, and vulnerable on stage. The highest honor you can pay him is to follow your own path and make your difference in the world. Wanna play?
