RESUME:
Mr. Shafiq has Bachelor and Master degrees in Space Science and is a Doctoral researcher in the same subject at the University of Innsbruck in Austrian Alps.
He worked with "Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission" at Lahore as a research scientist for several years.
He is recipient of Pakistan's prestigious "Higher Education Commission Fellowship" and a visiting sponsorship from "European Commission" to visit "European Union Satellite Center" in Spain.
He is a member of Astronomer's Society in Pakistan, Islamic Crescent Observation Project, The IEEE, IEEE-Geoscience & Remote Sensing Society, American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics and Pakistan Society for Geographical Information Systems.
He is National Point of Contact for Pakistan for Space Generation Advisory Council.
He has extensive travel experience across Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France, Saudia Arabia and Netherlands to attend several conferences, workshops and seminars.
